 Start 293 Today 289 Down 4lbs
89lbs to go

One thing I learned in life is "you are only as good as the company you keep". I try to surround myself with people who have the same goals that I want to achieve in life. These will be my go to people with my questions, complaints, bitches, moans.

John Joseph

John Joseph- I barely knew John. I had been friends with Mackie who plays drums in the Cro-Mags for 15 years and recently went and did a weekend with them at the beginning of October. I started tapping John's brain about how he stays in great shape. I have tried talking with others who are very vague and sorta condescending when I asked "Ya just gotta work out bro" Oh....ok, and Fuck you....and yer mom. John was not like this at all. He is very informative and genuinely gets excited to talk about fitness and diet. I compiled a list of website and books he told me about (which I will share in future post) and made my starting line. With his help he'll see me at the finish line. Here's my plug for him. John wrote 2 books. The Evolution of a Cro-Magnon A story of his life till now and Meat is for Pussies an book that will change your think of vegetarianism and veganism.

Michael Manna
Michael Manna- Sheesh....What to say about this guy? Manna has been a Pro Wrestler for years. He was in the first ever ECW match. Worked every Pro and Indie you can think of. He's also 6 months younger than me. I'm a human dough roll and he has a six pack with side packs. I look up to this man because he has been though so much (including tables and tacks) knee problems, his throat has been crushed, a bronchial disease but, still keeps focused. Hopefully he will help me gain control of this car before i run it off a cliff. He is also a super dork. Check out his tech website and podcast at the T4Show.

John Roderick
John Roderick- John and I spent the best of our teenage years together. He went from playing guitar all day to focusing on MMA. Open his own gym and has studied on legends like Phil Nurse and Eddie Bravo to name a few. John will teach me to get my fight back. Life is worth fighting for.

Samoa Joe

Joe Seanoa-Now.....why Joe? To some He doesn't took the most fit person but, for his size, weight, he is one of the fasted, flexible and has cardio for days for a man his size. His brain I will start picking first once I get of my lazy ass to start conditioning. Check out what I mean at the youtube link HERE

Teri Bakowski

Teri Bakowski- Last but not least my wife Teri. The picture sums it up to a T. She has put up with my shit for 12 year and is my back bone. She is the ultimate badass. 90lbs, rides a harley, tattoos, fixes cars, does home improvements better then any contractor I know. She's been a vegetarian for more than half her life and will be my overall support thought all this. Teri's art portfolio HERE.

In the beginning or the end.....

 293
93lbs to go

I'm 40....holy crap! What the hell happened? I quit touring after 16 years because my closest friend died of cancer and I took a long hard look at my life. I felt I was just an upscale Carni person. I wanted to help people. Went to school and became a CNA. Those who do not not know what a CNA is (Certified Nurses Aide) well...it's a glorified ass wiper but, there is no glory in it. It is the hardest job in health care with below average pay. The key is to treat the people like it was you in their position. Unfortunately that's not how a lot people treat a job like that. I got lucky and moved on to becoming an instrument technician for my local hospital. Also a demanding job because peoples lives are truly in your hands. I realized that I spent most of my time helping people I wasn't helping myself. When I met my wife I was 200lbs. I was always big but, 12 years later I am 293 (I just weighed myself). I fucking love food. Pizza, burgers, 99's gold fever wings, airheads. Makes my stomach grumble just thinking about them. It's like drugs and alcohol. A very serious addiction. Today marks my journey to get back where I was 15 years ago. Better than 15 years ago. I am going to get into the best shape of my life. How? Drastic times call for drastic measures. With the help of some friends, some books, some blogs, and good old will power I will get to where I want to be by summer of 2012. Lastly the key. You. As my, support, judge and jury.
